Sophie Kinsella is good, my favorites are Twenties Girl, and The Undomestic Goddess, I have never read the shopaholic series.

Austenland by Shannon Hale was a cute read.

Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner

Emily Griffin’s books have young women in the leads.  Something Borrowed;    Something Blue;   Love the one you are With.

A couple others to enjoy: the Slightly series by Wendy Markham, See Jane Date by Melissa Senate, Brenda Janowitz has two books about young professionals (Scot on the Rocks and Jack with a Twist.)  I think a lot of the Red Dress Ink books had younger characters, too.   Sarah Mlynowski and Jennifer O'Connell are good, too. I second the recommendation for Emily Giffin.

My recommendations would be:

Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot (3 book series)

Size 12 is Not Fat by Meg Cabot (also a series of 3 books, with a 4th in the works)

Confessions of a Shopaholic books by Sophie Kinsella

The Love Goddess' Cooking School by Melissa Senate

Just Like Me, But Only Better by Carol Snow

I also second the recommendation of Emily Giffin; I've only read 1 of her books so far, and I really really liked it.

Well, I have to reccomend my own book, "The White Rose of Nightfall" http://www.amazon.com/White-Rose-Nightfall-Carla-Peele/dp/1466414782/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318891367&sr=8-1

But I would also reccomend "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monkk Kidd and The Bridget Jones Trilogy.

Sarah Addison Allen! I loved all of hers, and I am 28. I also like many of those already recommended, so I am sure that whatever you have ordered she will enjoy. But I really recommend SAA if you are looking for more.

Oh, and Stay by Allie Larkin was one of my most enjoyed chick lit ever - it has a spot on my keeper shelf for sure! If your daughter is a dog person, she will really like this one.
