I enjoyed this book about an uncle who has been raising his nephew. It was love at first sight when Matt opened his door to see a baby in his brother's arms. Matt's nephew Danny, abandoned by his heartless high society mother. And then Danny's father was killed in an accident,
and Matt, vowed before God to love and protect this child as his own.
The whole town pulls together to give support to Matt and Danny.
Meanwhile Danny's mother Leah, had been desperately searching for the boy for 8 years since his father had snatched him as an infant. At last a clue leads her to the small town of Rosewood, Texas.

Sheriff Kurt Mulldoon had moved to a home out of town to get away from meddling townspeople and attractive women, but one of each was standing on his front porch. It seemed ninety-year-old Miss Cora, his house's previous owner, had convinced the one woman who piqued Kurt's facey, April Shelnutt, to take her for a visit. And not long after they arrived, Cora suffered an injury-to her back side. Kurt's neighborly duty meant he'd offer his help, and let them into his home. But he wasn't letting April into his heart, no matter how pretty-and right-she looked standing in his doorway.

Very good and easy read. The ending was predictable though. But the book was still enjoyable.

Great story! Once I started reading I couldn't put it down. A baby kidnapped eight years ago prompts a young mother to search out a man who may have had a connection to her husband. Arriving in Rosewood she gets involved with the towns people's respect and love. Now she has to gain her son's love and gain the respect of the one man she has learnedly to love.

This book kept my interest as Leah finally found her son that had been kidnapped from her eight years ago. Matt wasn't so sure of Leah's story, especially since he had certain ideas about the heartless, irresponsible person she was.
The story is a wonderful and romantic struggle between the two--with the little boy pulling in both directions!
