Although not as good as the first 2 books it all fits together well. I was sad to see it end.

A lovely book though I must sadly admit it took a couple times reading before I could love this new heroin as much as I loved her ancestors. It is a very wonderful ending to a spectacular Trilogy; that I have, and will continue to read again and again. Everything is connected, from the first novel to the very last. Well written and fast paced.

I liked the other two before it more, but it wasn't terrible. Mariller has a gift for storytelling

I have loved this trilogy! With that being said, I wasn't sure about the strength of this main character, as with the other two. But...I was blown away. I didn't know how the book would be able to end in a way to tie together the whole trilogy with the power that each one ends with, but she did it beautifully!! I cried like a baby at the beauty of it all as a whole. Amazing!!

This was a wonderful book. I'm going to search for more books by this author. I like books of magical fantasy of the ancient times with strong women characters. Old Ireland was a beautiful and exciting setting. I keep a log of all the characters so I don't get them mixed up because I have short term memory loss. I like to remember who is the good guy and who is the bad guy . I might read it again if no one asks for it before I get back to it.

I like her writing style. Her brand of fantasy is gentle with hints and touches of the unreal and everything else nicely grounded. That's my favorite kind of fantasy.
I enjoyed this book.

wonderful storyteller. This is the last book in the series and I didn't want it to end. I never use to read fantasy but thanks to paperback swap I'm hooked. There are some great authors out there and Juliet Marillier is definitely one of the best in fantasy!

This book was alright, though not nearly as good as the first two. I had a difficult time relating to this new heroine, and so, a hard time caring for her at all. It is well written though.

Myth making and good world building. Very barbaric times indeed.
