I am a avid reader of anything to do with holocaust. This was one of the most chilling books I have read concerning that time. In fact, I almost didn't post it because I couldn't decide if I really wanted to get rid of it. It's that factual and mind-bending. Several pages of pictures too.

Written in first-person AND third-person. Very interesting look into the mind of this monster and the results through the testimonies of those who survived his "medical science".

I could not tear myself away from this book. Mengele was a monster and it is fitting that he died alone, miserable and disgraced. Too bad he was not brought to justice but just maybe his demise was more fitting and crueler.

This book is about Dr. Mengele and his experiments and treating of the twins of Auschwitz. Only read half because it was so sad and unbelievable. But I hope we never forget the suffering...

This book is beyond comprehension. These poor children had to endure so much to survive and to amuse Menegele, I can't bring myself to call him a doctor since he failed to follow his hippocratic oath. This book is well written and an easy read. The subject matter is troubling, let us pray that this never, ever happens again. Never forget.

Absolutely amazing. This kept me up at night several times. This was my first time reading anything pertaining to the twins who were experimented upon. It's definitely shocking.
I loved how the authors weaved the twins words in between Mengele's story- everything was spaced out well in the book.

What a wonderful terrible book. The stories of the twins was heartbreaking and enlightening. First hand memories and accounts are always the most powerful. Interesting to learn what actually became of Josef Mengele, least what they could verify. Lots of information that you would otherwise not know of. What happened to them AFTER the war ended and how they survived and didn't survive. A must read for all who have a heart for those who were imprisoned.

Finely written detailed history that answers the question of what happened to the infamous Dr Mengele who tortured and maimed children during the Holocaust as well as decided who did and didn't go to the showers to be gassed to death.

Get ready to puke and have a hot bath after reading how a so called medical doctor experimented on twins in Auschwitz for the glory of the German people's Third Reich during WWII.

This is a very interesting book. If you want to read a chilling book about what these poor children went through then you will find this book very informative. It is hard to believe that this actually happened - that people actually could be this cruel and that some people got away with their crimes.
