This is an amazing story. Two books in and I can't wait for the third and final chapter. Kalogridis has done an outstanding job of putting a new twist on the Dracula legend that is very plausible and yet full of surprises. It's a little sexy without being bawdy, a little horrific without being gory. The plot-line keeps up a good pace and the characters are people that you can relate to. I carry the books wherever I go and the pages keep turning themselves. Worth your time!

Wow! This book was amazing. A page-turner for sure! I don't know how I've managed to have this in my TBR (10+ years!) and not know what I was missing. The journaling format used in it gives it a very "Bram Stoker" feel to the story so that it's easy to consider this a prequel. Any fans of the original will not be disappointed with this series.
