I'm usually not a fan of horror fiction, but this book was well above average for that genre. The writing was excellent and quite easy to navigate through. The "bad guy" was creepy and yet, believable, as were the vampire children. (Ewwwww) I found Douglas Clegg's writing similar to Stephen King's- especially the way he catches the inner voices running through the characters' heads. I liked this novel and will make a point to read more from this author in the future.
