Very good cozy mystery about the Ten Huis Chocolade shop with Lee McKinney and her Aunt Nettie. Julie Singletree is so sweet and wants to be everyone's friend, sending email to all. Then, suddenly she is murdered and her computer is missing! Along with humor and suspense, the author JoAnna Carl keeps you guessing until the very end! Plus the extra facts about chocolate add mouth-watering ideas!

This one is the best chocoholic mystery yet. Carl has gotten into the groove of depicting these characters, the choppiness in the writing that was evident in the earlier ones is gone completely and the storyline flowed smoothly. I still find Lee's malapropisms annoying rather than endearing, but there were far fewer of them in this book than in previous ones. The plot was a bit transparent in some ways. I knew who the killer was very early one, just wasn't entirely sure why. Out of the 5 chocoholic mysteries this one had the most flair and polish. A quick, easy read that leaves you hungering for chocolate!

Chocolate shop manager Lee McKinney is so tired of "inspirational" e-mails from party planner Julie Singletree that she's ready to strangle her with the cord of her own computer mouse. But she's shocked when somebody actually kills the woman - and steals her computer. After all, the e-mail list Julie set up was for professionals in the party food business - people more interested in hor d'oeuvres than in homicides.

When bodies start showing up Lee has to find out why her friends are dieing. Very good book...kept me wanting to find who the killer was and why. There are twists and turns that make you suspect several people before the book ends.

I love this series. It's calming & peaceful to me (despite the murders!) I enjoy the cast of characters - not too many to keep track of, just a fun small-town mystery. Quick easy reading. It's like visiting an old friend.

The fifth in the chocolate series begins with Lee exasperated with Julie Singletree's constant emails. Lee and Julie are members of an informal group called the Seventh Food Group. Julie sends jokes, inspirations, etc. so much so that it feels like spam to them all. Julie is mysteriously murdered and very odd things are happening to the others' computers. A second murder casts suspicion on everyone in the group. There are attempts on Lee and Lindy's lives and everyone is nervous, watching their respective backs. The book moves quickly and is an easy read. I enjoyed it as much as the other 4!

This book is another episode in the life of Lee and Joe as they cope with murder in a small Michigan resort town. Characters are well drawn. Plot is well thought out, and, as always, the solution is a surprise. To me, Lee's malapropisms are somewhat distracting, but any mystery lover will enthusiastically latch onto this book.

Book Description: "Chocolate-shop manager Lee McKinney has had enough of party planner Julie Singletree's cutesy e-mails. Then somebody actually kills the woman, putting everyone on her mailing list on edge. As their connections to the murder emerge, so do more attacks. Lee smells a rat-and it's not made of chocolate. And if she doesn't want to be permanently deleted, it's up to her to trap it."

Nice cozy in the TenHuis Chocolade series. Lee is getting annoying e-mails from a business contact, but when local computers come down with a virus and 2 bodies turn up, she thinks there's more to the e-mails than she thought.
