I read Choral Society for the February 2017 pick in my online book club, The Reading Cove.
I found it mildly engaging. It was overlong, heavy on shallow descriptions of clothes and appearance, but OK. The story of three women in their 50s, dealing with the usual issues - aging, overcoming lingering hang-ups, finding love. There really wasn't anything remarkable or original.
As a discussion piece, I supposed it's an opportunity to discuss ideas about age-appropriate behaviors and aging gracefully. I give it a C+ and would recommend it for those looking for a very light beach read.
