This is the first book I have read by this author. I have had this book in my TBR for well over a year and I am so glad that I finally read it.
Emily finds an abandoned baby and desperately wants to keep her but not all of her family is as eager for this task. Emily is the mayor and must deal with town issues all the while trying to learn to parent at 40+. A side story is incorporated - Emily's minister who is questioning his faith but learns a lesson in life and faith after tragedy strikes their town. The author blended the two stories together very well.
