Sweet Christmas goodwill story about a widowed and pregnant young woman and her neighbors. They orginally want to run her off her land so they can get it but in the end they help her hold on to the land and help her "cure" her young son who has a mysterious fever.
Good holiday story but I just wasn't into the whole "cowboy Western" style of it.
The author makes you feel you are there as he shapes these characters in so believable manner. Suspense and drama are blended with the Wild West creating a powerful story that reminds us that love and hope can exist even in the darkest of times.
