This was an easy, inviting book to read. It is a story about life and how it isn't always perfect. Lena tries to come to a new town to start over, but realizes that she can't hide from her past, and only succeeds when she is honest about it. She meets people along the way with whom she helps and others who help her in building her life again.

This is a great story about kindness, truth, hope, and Lena plays a great Mrs. Claus!

Lena Markham has been kicked down her whole life. Her father was cruel and her husband was a fake minister and stole a lot of money that Lena went to prison for 8 years. She goes to a new town to start over and becomes Mrs Santa at Harrington's a beautiful department store. She makes many friends, including Cassidy Harrington who believes in her and loves her. But a nasty woman ends her job as Mrs. santa.

At one time Lena was a christian, she believed in God, but after all that has happened to her she is unsure if God is with her. She realizes that God has not forsaken her. He has given her many friends. She even finds that her ex-husband was a con man with many aliases and he is charged with her crime and she is legally innocent. She finds a Christian man who cares for her. And God is with her ar Christmas and she shares this with others.

Beautiful gift book and Christmas story.

I like this story because it has charming characters and an unusual storyline. It reminds me that in life we have unbearably difficult times, but God can turn things around and work everything out for those who choose to live in His love.
