When I was a child I loved chocolate, (still do!), but there wasn't much of it around.  One Christmas my brother and sister-in-law gave each of us a cigar box filled with goodies they had made--fudge, caramels, etc.  I could eat all of mine as fast as I wanted, and nobody would protest.  That was one of my favorite Christmas gifts ever.

My favorite childhood memory is the year I got a set of books!  I loved to read and always got a new comic book a week to supplement my library books from the library and the school library. 

The year I was ten I received a set of 10 books.  Little Women, Little Men among them.  Believe it or not I still have the books.  Not the dust covers but, the books still look almost new.  Despite being read many, many times.
