I was disappointed in the quality of this book. The unwrapped store display was pretty shabby, but I attributed that to too many careless fingers. But my brand-new, still shrinkwrapped book had pop ups glued down and others that weren't attached. With a careful razorblade and creative glueing I was able to put it mostly right.
The illustrations are wonderful and the historic text illuminating, but this book loses it in production. Pop up technology today is wonderous (see anything by Robert Sabuda or Chuck Murphy) but this book needs to go back and relook it's manufacturing, which is unfortunate given the high quality of its content.
