LOLOLOL! I wanna go on strike too!
fun, easy read.
An excellent holiday read! Abby has had enough, tired of being the solution to everyone's, and by that I mean her adult children, problems Abby decides to go on strike. Fearing that she will cave into the demands of her family, she decides she needs an adventure and manages to hitch a ride with Cole, her daughter's father in law thinking he's flying back to chicago, and ends up in Paris! Abby not only gets the adventure she wanted, but along the way with Cole's help discovers she is more than a mom & a grandma.
This is a must read for any mom who has ever felt (even for the smallest minute) over worked and under appreciated by her adult children. The romance is believeable and magical.

I was skeptical when I realized that this was a Harlequin novel because I typically do not read that type of book. However, I was pleasantly surprised by The Christmas Strike. It is a novel about a middle aged mom named Abby Blake who seems to have lost herself. She decides it's time to go on strike because she is tired of being needed! Her adventures are wonderfully delightful and completely outrageous! Abby Blake takes back her life and makes you feel like anything is possible. I read this book in about 2 days. It was a wonderful break from reality. I highly recommend this book.
