I don't often read Amish books, but this Christmas story was very good. A young widow, Ruth, with 6 children is having a rough time making ends meet. With Christmas coming soon she wonders how she will manage gifts for the children. Then a banana box of food mysteriously appears on her doorstep. A stranger attends a social gathering and Ruth notices his eyes. John crosses paths with Ruth quite often. Is it too soon for Ruth to show an interest in another man? What man would want to take on six children?
