This is one of the best books on polygamy that I have ever read! It's a real eye opener to the abuses that go unreported in that cult community. It's sad that a system meant to protect children protects the abusers instead of the victims. I will never understand how something like this can exist in the USA.

This was a good book to read for anyone interested in life inside the FLDS, as well as the struggle to liberate women and children from the abuse inside the community. From the abuse undergone by children, to state authorities that continually fail to protect them, choosing instead to return them to their homes regardless of the abuse they report, this book recounts one woman's experience with it all. Definitely worth reading.

This book was good; however, the author's writing style was very different (almost simple). However, that is totally understandable, considering her circumstances.

Wow, Flora Jessop is probably one of the most passionate authors I have ever read on this subject! She's a real fireball when it comes to the FLDS! This book was so fast paced, I couldn't put it down. Her work to protect and save women and children caught up in this cult is so awe-inspiring and desperately needed. I don't think she'll ever stop trying to bring this matter to the publics attention and that's a great achievement. Another woman whom I deeply admire for not only saving herself but saving others. Good job Flora, this was a great read!
