Tom Horn was a fascinating, real-life, Western personality. Fascinating enough that Hollywood made a movie about him with Steve McQueen as Horn. Horn wasn't exactly the type of Western Hero we're used to seeing in films, as he had his dark side. I've read about him in other books and sources.

So I requested this novel hoping to enjoy it. I didn't. The so-called "acclaimed author" of this book told a Western story full of Western cliches and hyperbole on every page. If some of the historic characters in the book were still alive they would sue for libel.
