Three short stories about the Clayborne Brothers.

One Pink Rose: Mama Rose asks Travis Clayborne to escort mail-order bride Emily Finnegan through Montana to meet her groom, O'Toole. He doesn't expect to be attracted to her, even though he suspects she might be crazy.

One White Rose: Douglas Clayborne travels to Parker Grant's ranch to collect the horse he purchased six months ago. He finds Parker has been killed and his wife, Isabel, is in labor. Douglas helps her with the birth and vows to protect her from the man who killed her husband.

One Red Rose: When Adam Clayborne arrives home from a long trip, he finds a woman in his bed. Genevieve Delacroix was invited to the ranch by Mama Rose who hoped Adam and Genevieve would someday marry. But Genevieve has secrets she isn't ready to share, even if marrying Adam would be a dream come true.

I'm not a big fan of short stories and certainly wish Garwood had written a full length book for each brother. Travis' book suffered from the short length. I never felt like I knew either him or Emily (3.5 Stars). Douglas' story was my favorite. The story takes place over a 10-week period. We got to know Douglas and Isabel as they go know each other. It was my favorite (4.5 Stars). I was very disappointed with Adam's story. The plot was weak and we learned nothing new about Adam, who was such an intriguing character in For the Roses. I also had a problem with the fact that he was a former slave, but never seemed to run up against any bigotry in the old west. (2.5 Stars). I'm still looking forward to Cole Clayborne's story and am happy that it will be full length. My rating overall: 3.5 Stars.

I loved this series. The 1st book is "For The Roses" with the 3rd book as "Come The Spring". This is the middle book, I like to read my sequel books one right after another.

This is a bridge gapper. It tells about how the Clayborne boys found their brides. Three short stories. This is an easy read.

I loved this series! You want to be a part of the family once you read this book. The stories are full and move along quickly. You can't go wrong with a Julie Garwood book. This is a don't miss book.
