A super good book. Tells of a man who divorced his wife and she has a car acident and how he returns to her to take care of her. It opens his eyes to things about her and their marriage and thei two teenage daughters.

I loved this book!! It was so real - all her books are! A man and woman are divorced and she has the two daughters living with her in Carmel, CA. She is an artist. She has a horrible car accident and he is contacted - he comes and takes care of the kids while she is in a coma. He learns why the marriage broke up and grows a lot. Great ending!!

I had this book for over a year, because the description just did not sound all that great. I finally got desperate and read it, and what a great surprise! It was a really excellent book and I was captivated from the beginning.

Really enjoyed this book. I found it very deeply moving and shows the guys point of view in a new light. I always enjoyed Barbara Delinsky's books but revisiting her work I came across this book and really enjoyed it!

This book has sat in my TBR pile for a while. I happened to pick it up Saturday for a "quick, light, mindless read." I couldn't put it down once I started it. Delinsky takes you on a journey through two life changing two weeks in Jack's life. His ex-wife is in a coma from a car wreck and Jack finds himself thrown in the middle of raising his two girls. Delinsky writing pulls you in and you feel that you have known the characters your entire life.
In this great story life's greatest gifts come by accident. Coast Road celebrates things in life that matter most--companionship of friends and the irreplaceable time spent with children and family.

I didn't like this book. Boring, predictable storyline with characters that I felt nothing for. She has written other books that have been better.

Book started out really great; got bogged down in the middle and was a little redundent. Could have been about 100 pages shorter. You waited from about page 15 until page 402 for the "wife" to come out of a coma that only lasted 16 days. An okay read, just a little slow.

And, yet another great book from Barbara Delinsky. My advice to people considering reading this book - do not be put off knowing that one of the main characters is in the hospital following a car accident. We get the background story through "flashback" and come to know and love the characters in all their faults, hopes, dreams and disappointments. This is a *great* book!
First of all of her books I read. What a great read. A coming home of sorts, finding out what is important in life...
I started reading Delinsky novels one summer and stayed up all night every time I got a new one!

Excellent Read! A man puts his architectural career on hold as he rushes to the bedside of his ex-wife who was injured in an accident and lies in a coma. He learns things he never knew about his wife through her friends and neighbors who visit, and rekindles his relationship with their two teenage daughters. Told from the man's perspective, this is a refreshing, heartwarming book about family, marriage, friendship and second chances. This book will be a keeper for me!

He meets Rachel's friends, his own two teenage daughters, and mostly he learns to really know Rachel for the first time. He learns about her passion for her art, and the secret as to why she left him six years before. He learns to see the story of his marriage and his family with new eyes. A very precious story!

Jack had no time for his wife and children so he lost them until years later his wife becomes ill and he has to return to care for his children and in so doing realizes what he had given up. Good book

wonderful book i couldn't put it down
A different take on a romance book. I really enjoyed it.
Jack chose his career over his wife, she leaves him. 6 years later, Racheal is clinging to life after an accident, and she and the 2 daughters need him. He comes back to cae for the 2 daughters and sits by his wifes bedside. As friends etc come to sit with her, he hears stories they tell him about her, and discovers a woman he never really knew. Much to his astonishment, Jack begins to see Racheal and his daughters and the story of his marriage with new eyes. This was a very good book!

Slow starting but quickly caught my full attention and enjoyed it very much. Second of her books I have read and will look for more.

it a great book great story.
A good story line. I have read several of Barbara Delinsky's books and I found this one especially good. So many different themes to relate to in this book. The author brings the characters together in a very belieavable manner.
A workaholic parent thinks working to buy things shows love. Through a tragic accident he is forced to rediscover the family he lost. He sees his ex through new eyes by talking to her friends and rediscoveres the the love that ever lingers for his family.
Never read this book. book is in good condition.
