I had this book for over a year, because the description just did not sound all that great. I finally got desperate and read it, and what a great surprise! It was a really excellent book and I was captivated from the beginning.

A PERSON SHOULD NEVER SAY NEVER / CAN'T / WON'T.... YOU JUST DON'T KNOW YET.. A VERY GOOD READ!
very good book!!
Fantastic book! It's about rediscovering things that were thought lost!
this book was hard to put down. a little rambling at times but otherwise a good read.
Really enjoyed this book. I found it very deeply moving and shows the guys point of view in a new light. I always enjoyed Barbara Delinsky's books but revisiting her work I came across this book and really enjoyed it!
easy to read, entertaining book...it's easy to get wrapped up in the romantic storyline
This book has sat in my TBR pile for a while. I happened to pick it up Saturday for a "quick, light, mindless read." I couldn't put it down once I started it. Delinsky takes you on a journey through two life changing two weeks in Jack's life. His ex-wife is in a coma from a car wreck and Jack finds himself thrown in the middle of raising his two girls. Delinsky writing pulls you in and you feel that you have known the characters your entire life.
In this great story life's greatest gifts come by accident. Coast Road celebrates things in life that matter most--companionship of friends and the irreplaceable time spent with children and family.
Wonderful! I'm never disappointed with a Barbara Delinsky book. I couldn't put it down!
a man steps in to help his children and exwife when she is in a horrible car accident six years after their divorce.he steps into her life and learns about a woman he never really knew and the secrets that made her leave.
A REALLY GOOD BOOK.IENJOYED IT AND THE MESSAGE IT SENT.
Good story, easy read, nice setting, descriptive, goes to friendship, family & what we really know about those we love.
(A funny thing I noticed, though, is that the main-man, Jack McGill, runs his hands through his hair a lot. I counted 12 times during the book before I lost count!).
All kidding aside, you will enjoy this story.

Very entertaining!
I didn't like this book. Boring, predictable storyline with characters that I felt nothing for. She has written other books that have been better.
Struggles between a man;s career and family..and the inevitible 'other' woman. Predictable.
good love story ...
From back, "Hailed as a remarkable journey, Barbara Delinsky's New Yor Times bestseller COAST ROAD delivers a profoundly moving tale that is as richly textured, colorful, and poignant as the NOrthern California landscape in which it is set.
Tells the story of a man who has to come back to his ex-wife's help when she has been in a carwreck and is in a coma. He has to deal with their two teenage daughters and face the reality of what he has been missing. Very sweet and moving story.
A Great read, family is the most important of a persons life but in this book,Jack McGill finds out just how important they should have been to him.
I loved this book! I love everything by this author.
Good read. Good story.
Book started out really great; got bogged down in the middle and was a little redundent. Could have been about 100 pages shorter. You waited from about page 15 until page 402 for the "wife" to come out of a coma that only lasted 16 days. An okay read, just a little slow.
A love story so compelling that it makes you feel it in your own
life if you are truly a romantic person; especially if you feel the
same about your partner in life. Strangely, it is a love story that
fits so many lives/marriages in real life.
e.h., meldrim, ga.

And, yet another great book from Barbara Delinsky. My advice to people considering reading this book - do not be put off knowing that one of the main characters is in the hospital following a car accident. We get the background story through "flashback" and come to know and love the characters in all their faults, hopes, dreams and disappointments. This is a *great* book!
First of all of her books I read. What a great read. A coming home of sorts, finding out what is important in life...
I started reading Delinsky novels one summer and stayed up all night every time I got a new one!
Good romance story
A man who learns the most about his ex-wife when she has a terrible car accident, and he begins to talk to her friends and has to take care of their teenage daughters. He rediscovers his family, and what kind of man he should be. Touching and sweet.
A heart-tugging story of love and redemption.

Jack McGill's feelings for his artist ex-wife, Rachel, are put to the acid test when he receives news that she is lying comatose in a hospital after an automobile accident. Jack, a rising San Francisco architect and workaholic, still does not understand why Rachel left him and took their two daughters to live in Big Sur country, but he assumes the parental role for the teenage girls and moves into Rachel's house. Jack's second chance at being a real father is fraught with confrontations. He has deadlines and major clients to impress, and his daughters are leery of trusting him to care for them. Ultimately, Jack is challenged to make some life-altering career choices and to decide whether he should try to win Rachel back.

Excellent Read! A man puts his architectural career on hold as he rushes to the bedside of his ex-wife who was injured in an accident and lies in a coma. He learns things he never knew about his wife through her friends and neighbors who visit, and rekindles his relationship with their two teenage daughters. Told from the man's perspective, this is a refreshing, heartwarming book about family, marriage, friendship and second chances. This book will be a keeper for me!
This is a very good story about a family getting back on track after a tragerty.
I couldn't put this book down. Very heartfelt.
I really enjoyed this book. It is about a guy who goes to his ex-wife after she has been in a bad accident. She is in a coma. It is about him getting to know his ex-wife and his 2 daughters. Very warm, touching, story.
Barbara Delinsky at her best! Set in Northern California, emotion-packed and poignant love story.

I love Barbara Delinsky.

People magazine called Barbara Delinsky's Three Wishes, "a heart-tugging story of love and redemption that is surprisingly powerful." Now, in her latest New York Times bestseller, Delinsky delivers a profoundly moving tale that is as richly textured. colorful, and poignant as the northern California landscape in which it is set.

it a great book great story.
A good story line. I have read several of Barbara Delinsky's books and I found this one especially good. So many different themes to relate to in this book. The author brings the characters together in a very belieavable manner.
