What do you get when you mix four super intelligent dogs, one trainer who has no idea how truly special they are, an old friend who is part of an elite and highly top secret Naval team, and a rogue agent from that team who is after the dogs? You get Code Name: Baby!
This was my first Christina Skye novel, and I have to say it will not be my last. I am desperate to get my hands on the other Code Name series titles. When a rogue agent from the Foxfire team goes after Kit O' Halloran and the special dogs she's training, they send in Wolfe Houston, and old friend of hers. But not to protect her. No, they want him to use her and the dogs as bait to lure the rogue agent to where he can be captured. But Wolfe has other ideas about what should be done, and when it comes to the Foxfire principals of never letting anything get personal, Wolfe finds that where Kit is concerned, that just isn't a possibility.
If you're looking for a great read with a little sex, a little romance budding, and a lot of action and suspense, Code Name: Baby is what you're looking for!

Kit O'Halloran is a dog trainer in New Mexico. Navy SEAL Wolfe Houston, her childhood friend returns to protect her and her dogs when they are threatned. Although Skye has written other "Code Name" books, the only link between the first two and this one seems to be Izzy Teague. The story is a bit tedious, the romance was decent and there is a aspect of the book that borders on the paranormal. Quick read, but not her best.

Christina Skye did every dog lover a huge favor by writing this book. I absolutely loved it. Super smart dogs, a dog trainer, a government agent, and a physco... very interesting combination. I would NEVER give up my only copy of this book... I'm defiantely reading all the other "code name" books.
Fun and Sexy! A great example of Christina Skye's skills!
Christina Skye is awesome. Her books keep your attention and have twists and turns to the plot. Very steamy!!
Navy SEAL Wolfe Houston is on a mission of national security: protect one stubborn - but gorgeous - civilian in charge of training valuable government assets. But tracking down four genetically enhanced dogs and guarding their furry backs
A very good book. Its about Search and Rescue Dogs.
This is one of several books by Christina Skye about secret agents and people and/or animals with psychic abilities. It was a nice change of pace for me and very romantic.
I only got to page 100 before I quit the book. While the plot was interesting, there was too much emphasis on sex and violence.
action packed excitment

good read. part of a series but can be read alone.
Yeah a Navy seal takes a job protecting a brat.
Action packed with between-the-sheets sizzle.
Not a bad read...a little slow though.
Great read. Best book I've read all year.
I may have just found a new favorite author! This was one of those books I literally could not put down. Kit has had a crush on her brother's friend Wolfe since she was 13. When he returns, a secret agent with superpowers, to protect her and the special dogs she's currently training she tries not to lose her heart again. Thankfully, it doesn't work and there's lots of action before these two get their happily ever after.
It was just ok for me.
I enjoyed this book. It is a fun tale and you should read the other books by this author that leads up to this one.
Action-packed, romantic suspense.
Adult book. Easy read.
A navy SEAL protects a woman & her 4 service dogs.
A navy SEAL protects a woman & her 4 service dogs.
I really loved this book - the main characters are reunited after many years and sparks fly. I think that you have to love a bit of the sci fi to really get into this one because there is genetic engineering in the plot. I love a happy ending - and this one delivers.
great book
Good story.
Baby is a Laborador Retriever with special talents.
Futuristic medical accomplishments in todays settings inside a love story.
Typical Skye, kept me interested and laughing right till the end.
Cute Sci Fi...
A quick read and very intertaining!
great book! little hard to follow the plot specifics, but maybe I picked up in the middle of a series?? anyway, highly enjoyed it..particularly the narrative where the dogs were engaged.
Loved it, and read all the rest too. Interesting asides that include car stuff.
This is one of my favorite authors and her code name series is a set of books that I just couldn't seem to be able to put down!
I read this book cover to cover.. LOVED it! Suspense, high tech military stuff, mixed in with a woman dog trainer with amazing puppies shes training and bit of a love story all rolled in to one!
Great story..very fast moving.
I really enjoyed this book, it's fast paced, has a plot, and the 'genetic' puppies are great! And did not have sex every other page....which is a plus as it allowed the plot depth. I will be reading more from this author.
Good read
This is a fun adventure story with 4 dogs, a trainer and a Navt SEAL protector.
Very good.
This is an absolutely enthralling tale...espionage, corrupt military leaders, and romance...doesn't get much better...the back of the book tells all:
"Navy SEAL Wolfe Houston is on a mission of national security: protect one stubborn-but gorgeous-civilian in charge of training valuable government assets.
But tracking down four genetically enhanced service dogs and guarding their furry backs 24/7 is going to take all of Wolfe's tactical skills. The dogs' unsuspecting trainer, Kit O'Halloran, doesn't know that deadly mercenaries are determined to kidnap her charges. With hostiles to evade and bullets to dodge, there's no time to waste--so why is Kit pressed against an adobe wall by moonlight, reveling in the hot magic of Wolfe's slow, skillful hands?
Wolfe is fascinated bu Kit's devotion to her puppies, especially Baby, the incorrigible runt of the litter. But two other trainers have died under strange circumstances--and a foreign government has just posted a staggering bounty for Kit's capture. Before Wolfe can explore their white-hot attraction, the two are on the run, forced to decide which of their secret contacts is friend...and which is deadliest foe. Only Baby can lead them through the storm to safe haven in each other's arms. Good Dog!!

"Fast-paced romantic thriller"
The Foxfire top secret Navy SEAL seven-man squad were all genetically changed using experimental nanotechnology and biological enhancements. Each has their own skills, but all are monitored by Lloyd Ryker from a distance. They work incidents that are impossible for normal people to survive.
One member Lieutenant Trace O'Halloran uses his mind to make sweeps of perimeters. He notices strange activity from a teammate Gabriel Enrique Cruz, who can control animals, but apparently lost control and has gone rogue. Trace's commander Wolfe Houston is stunned because Cruz died last year. Ryker sends Wolfe to track down Cruz whose target apparently is Trace's sister Kit, a law enforcement dog trainer based in New Mexico, who is working with four special Labrador puppies that unbeknownst to her have been genetically altered so that they work strategically as a team. Cruz wants to become the leader of Baby, Diesel, Butch, and Sundance. Wolfe and Kit know each other so his assignment to capture Cruz seems easy except that his friend's baby sister is an adult that he desires with all his heart; a distraction he cannot afford if he is to protect her and the canines.
The latest Foxfire tale (see CODE NAME: NANNY and CODE NAME: PRINCESS) is a fast-paced romantic thriller that never slows down hooking the audience from the moment Trace realizes what is going on. The story line is action- packed, but the key protagonists and the canines seem genuine even with the genetic modifications. Baby the pack leading runt steals the show in many ways as fans of the series will appreciate this strong tale as Christine Skye makes her cast, human and canine, seem like real people and dogs just having extrasensory skills." ~Harriet Klausner

In bestseller Skye's thrilling third Code Name romance (after Code Name: Princess), gorgeous dog trainer Kit O'Halloran works under government contract at her New Mexico ranch with four genetically enhanced black Labradors that, unknown to her, are worth millions to outside forces as well as to U.S. covert operations. Navy SEAL Wolfe Houston arrives to protect Kit and her canine charges, including Baby, the book's most endearing character. As it happens, Kit has known Wolfe from childhood, and her long-standing secret crush makes for a highly charged reunion. Wolfe's own biotech enhancements only intensify their red-hot sex. Meanwhile, Wolfe's former colleague Gabriel Enrique Cruz has escaped from an experimental government lab, where he was treated like an animal, and all hell breaks loose. The pat finish is a bit of a letdown, but fans should eagerly await the next in the series. (Nov.) Copyright 2005 Reed Business Information.
