This book combines science, history, and adventure, along with insights on climate change. The book is based on the author's many field trips to the cold regions of the world, along with well-documented historical research on everything from polar explorers, animals in the polar regions, migratory patterns of birds, weather patterns, measures of temperature, igloos, clothing, and the list goes on. It's enjoyable reading...the reader will learn all sorts of things!!
