Set of four books in correct order include: 1."Angels Watching Over Me", 2."A Day To Pick Your Own Cotton" 3."The Color of Your Skin Ain't the Color of Your Heart", 4."Together Is All We Need".
The story of a white girl and a mulatto girl who survive the Civil War and try to rebuild a plantation and their lives on their own during the time of Reconstruction. Obviously, they encounter many dreadful times and many obstacles. They overcome and grow up and grow in their faith by trusting their God to pull them through.
Very entertaining with insight into everyday life during the Reconstruction period. As with all Michael Phillips books: well worth the read!
