Lovely Carrie Simpson had jouneyed all the way to Green Run Pass, Colorado, to prove she could make it on her own. Now she wasn't about to lose the position as stage station manager because she wasn't married. The petite chstnut-haried Southern Belle told a tall tale that he husband would soon join her, then undertook the man's work with the horses and the woman's work in thekitchen. But Carrie never counted on meeting virileLocas Barrow, the Overland Stage Company's wrangler who awoke the most primitive urges in her. The "newlywed" needed her job for her indepencence; dared she risk it for the love only Lucas could satisfy?
Tough, fearless Lucas Barrow knew the Wild West was no place for a greenhorn, and a female one at that! One look at that magnolia complexion and he knew Carrie Simpson was meant for a life of luxury - not for a rough and tumble outpost. Lucas tried to scare the dainty piece of fluff back to Virginia, but the more challenges she conquered, the more he desired her. Cursing at the glint of her wedding ring, the hot-blodded cowboy couldn't help but capture Carrie in his arms. He wouldn't be satisfied with anything less than her total surrender, her passionate cry that she'd forever be his own.

I really enjoyed this book and love Leigh Greenwood books.
