I was surprised to find myself really liking this book. The computer detail was a little over my head and I thought the bad guy was pretty obvious from the start. Still suspenseful and there was a slight twist I didn't see coming at the end.
only 2.5 stars for this---not what I expected at all and you really need to be a computer geek to keep up with this one, I'm not a computer geek and barely get by with the computer language.
I found the first 150-160 pages of this book to be hard to get into because there is so much repeat of the loss of her husband, etc. Then after about page 160 or so it does take a turn and then it becomes more interesting and a little suspenseful as the main story finally begins to unfold.

Wonderful modern day book about sorrow, intrigue and scary Internet possibilities. I enjoyed this book very much and hated to say goodbye to Nadia.
Let me just say, right up front, that I am a totally non-techy person. I use a computer and a smart phone because I'd be so out of the loop in this world if I didn't. But my knowledge of both is basic. SO ... I've really had a hard time getting into this one. And the further I go, the more boring it becomes. I am writing my review at this point because there's a good chance I might not finish the book at all. I like Hallie Ephron, and finished Never Tell A Lie fast, craving another one by her, but if I thought many of her novels were going to be like this, I wouldn't bother starting one. Now,I realize there are a whole lot of people out there who love this kind of stuff, so I'd say "Go for it!" She wouldn't have written it, and it wouldn't have been published if there wasn't a market out there for this subject area. If I could understand what the heck they are talking about, I'd probably like it too.
UPDATE: I finished the darn book and disliked it almost every step of the way. The ending, which admittedly got a bit less boring than the beginning, was a mishmash of incidents that were so unbelievably impossible that at times I felt as though I were reading a kid's super hero comic book. This author can be so much better, why did she write this book?

I absolutely loved this book! Great suspense and a great story line. Looking forward to her next suspense novel!
An excellent thriller; well written that keeps you guessing till the end. The author did a marvelous job of explaining the online world and tying it all into the "real" world.
