Gabriel Brant has lost his home, his business and all of his hope in the devastating aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. After two years of feeling like a refugee in temporary homes while trying to take care of his twin boys, he decides to come home-- to a place he swore he's never set foot in again, to a father who seems bitter and cold-- except when it comes to his grandsons, to a woman he knew once as a little girl but who has grown up into some kind of do-gooder. Gabriel hates do-gooders after all the charity he's had to live with, even a beautiful do-gooder like Olivia who seems to have an affinity for his sons. Anyhow, Olivia is a stay-put small town do-gooder and Gabriel is a big city stand-on-his-own-feet kind of guy... Can true love conquor? Of course it can!
