What a wonderful story! I kept thinking something strange was going to happen all through the story. It turned into almost a fairy tale! Very different than all the Kristin Hannah books lately! Sometimes you just need to take stock of your life and regroup, and that's how Joy was feeling when she set off for a new adventure. Things didn't quite go as planned..or did they/ It was a lovely, magical book!

Joy Candellaro's life fell apart after finding her sister in bed with her husband. Since her subsequent divorce, she has decided that she should do some traveling that she has always dreamed about. But when her plane crashes on the way to her destination, Joy walks away from the crash and decides to start her life over. Joy finds a small fishing resort where she rents a room. The resort is owned by Daniel O'Shea and his young son, Bobby. Bobby's mother died recently. The boy is lonely and quickly bonds with Joy.

This is a quick Christmas read. I had a hard time with Joy's sister and ex-husband. I would have walked away from them too if I was in that situation. This story was entertaining and liked the twist at the end. My rating: 3.5 Stars.

This book was incredible. It's one of the stories you would never believe, but you can when reading it. Powerful and haunting.

It was a nice story. My preference is mystery; however, this was a good book for pure escapeism. I doubt I will read any more of her books, but I would recommend the book for any one who is looking for something "feel good" and light.

This book was really very enjoyable and different from your everyday romance. There was quite a twist in it and a very surprising ending, which totally took me by surprise and caught me off guard. I had to go back and reread parts - it was fun and easy to read and I thouroughly enjoyed this book, would definitely recommend it to anyone! loved it.

This was a great short read! I couldn't wait to see what happened next. I found myself laughing and crying with the story and it was so easy to imagine it all. This is the first Kristin Hannah book I have read and I will be looking for more.
