The story of the wedding of Father Kavanagh and Cynthia Coppersmith. All the beloved characters are in the book and I found it so heartwarming. I have to wonder why the author wrote this book after the books where they are already married. Very puzzling.

This is the 6th novel in the best-selling Mitford Years series. I loved every one of these books, but this is special because it is a wedding story. When I finished the series I was sad to leave these friends behind. Write more, Jan Karon!!!
A very special book in this wonderful series. It is the lovely, amusing and
heart-warming story of the wedding of the two central characters. It is my understanding that the series was originaly written without this chapter but that Jan Karon had so many requests that she went back and added it. Father Tim and Cynthia have become so dear to the readers that this is certainly understandable. Ms. Karon did a wonderful job of keeping it all very in character for these two with all the humor, sweetness and surprises that we have come to expect. It was a pure delight from start to finish.

Enjoyed this one very much. Warm, friendly novels of people one can easily like, but that challenge us to be better people, more accepting.

Sixth in the beloved series. These books are comforting and sweet, the story of life in a small American town the way we all wish it still was, with traditional values and eccentric characters.

I almost didn't read this book because I thought -- "Yeah I know they got married a couple of books ago". I would have missed a very sweet book. This book covers the events leading up to their marriage and how it affected the main characters of the book (including Cynthia and Father Tim). It ends in their honeymoon in a rundown summer cottage.
If you like Father Tim books this is another one that will put a smile on your face. I highly recommend it.

The Mitford Series from Jan Karon will bring a smile to your soul. Be sure to read in order for the most enjoyment.
This is good as one continues to read the series. It is too bad our world doesn't think of each other like characters in these books do. Good reading !!!!
