I bought this book because I wanted to make a HOOKED RUG... and I did! It was 2-1/2' x 4' and was originally planned for the den... but I ended up so happy with it that it went into the entryway by the front door! With four small kids, I couldn't work on it as much as I wanted, but eventually it was finished. I really couldn't believe it had made that big, heavy, beautiful thing! Everybody loved it and wanted me to make them one!
Forget that! I wanted to make a braided rug for my kitchen in front of the sink! So I bought braiding cones and all the double-knit remenants at my fabric stores and away I went! You rug-braiders know what happened next! But I had fun with my bright kitchen mat in front of the sink that I could just toss into the washer when needed!
Oh, the pages and pages of needlepoint stitches! I just had to make a sampler with my favorite saying in the softest of wonderful wool... and then the moths found it one year, hanging on the wall... I sure wish I had put it under glass!
I loved the way the book describes each tiny step in quilting, so that when I made my first wall-hanging (for the church craft sale), I felt confident that I could do it! And I did!
Now it's time to let someone else enjoy all the wonderful crafts in this book... from Applique to Macrame... and all between!

Excellent resource book with lots of photos to make learning easy! I got this book as a gift for a friend, but had an opportunity to review it before handing it off. I doubt if she will give it back to repost!

This is an outstanding introduction to ten different crafts, with worthwhile stitches and/or projects in each craft. I have many crochet books, and the crochet section of this book is a valuable addition to my collection.
This book has great graphics and pictures to show what you should be doing and what it looks like. It also has projects to use your new found skills to make. This book is a great resource if you are a beginner or are wishing to learn some new needlework styles.
This book is an excellent resource about needlework. There are instructions and illustrations for almost any type of needlework you can think of. The instructions are a step by step process and very easy to follow.
I collect needlework books to see how knitting has changed . Some times books like this one are the only places to find out how to do a specic needlework.
I <3 this book! It gives basic instructions for numerous types of needlework--knitting, embroidery, crochet, macrame, and the list goes on.
Excellent resource; i use it for knitting. A classic
