reviewed Controling the Tongue: Mastering the What, When, & Why of the Words You Speak on
This book was awful and I would NOT recommend it to anyone unless you believe that a FEAR of God will solve all your problems. It presents a narrow Born Again Christian view without actually addressing the issues you think will be addresses when you see the book's title.

And the author's perspective that you can have awful, nasty, negative thoughts about anyone/anything (no matter how unhealthy) as long as you do NOT say them out loud - that God just doesn't want you to say them out loud but is ok with these thoughts, is absolutely absurd. How about addressing why you might have these feelings toward others, looking inward to your own life to address these feelings, etc. Nope. Please do not waste your time, money, or a PBS credit on this book.
