This is an amazing book; there are hundreds of recipes included. The basis of the book is the author's contention that we can make better foods than processed food makers and restaurants. The author doesn't just give recipes; she gives the recipes behind the recipes, meaning she provides recipes for TACO SEASONING, RANCH SALAD DRESSING, EVAPORATED MILK, and so many more.
For example, if you follow the recipe for TACO SEASONING, you can mix up a cup and store it until needed. This offers significant savings over buying the packaged mixture. If you have instant dry milk and water, you can make your own evaporated milk for savings.
