For those interested in naval warfare, this is a fascinating and detailed account of two of the few major naval actions of World War I. One was a German victory, the other was British. While the author provides details on the naval actions, he also makes the book more interesting by telling the reader about the personalities of the commanders, the differences in ship design and ammunition and the heroism on both sides. Tragically, due to the confusion of battle, hundreds of men died needlessly.
