Everything Edna Buchanan writes is great. I suggest that, if possible, you read them in order of original publication date. However; they can be read out of order without losing any thing-you'll just want to go back and read the others.

My favorite of Edna Buchanan's books. Buchanan is one of the only reporters who has ever won a Pulitzer for crime reporting.

Edna Buchanan is a pulitzer prize winning reporter who writes about true crime in a different respect than other writers. She writes it from her point of view instead of the killer or the investigators. She writes about the father who murdered his comatose toddler in her hospital crib, the fifteen year old boy who killed for fun, the naked man who threw his girlfriend,s severed head to a youg cop who threw it back. This book is certainly written different than other true crime books.
