I enjoyed this version of Attorney Bennie Rosato and her loyalty to Jason Leftavick, the 12 year old boy she tried to get removed from prison 13 years before for pushing a bully in school. However, she was fired by the boys father before she could reverse the decision due to an unfit judge's ruling and was haunted about the case for years.
Thirteen years later, the same client Jason called her to help him on a charge of first degree murder and assured her he was framed for killing the boyhood bully of his past.
The story develops during an exciting trial, and the courtroom drams was intense and interesting.
I enjoyed this book and recommend it to mystery and thriller fans.
