Very funny book. Witty dialogue, and the characters are anything but dull.
The incomparable Ldy Sarah, the darling of the ton, not only broke off her engagement to Ravenwich - that dreadfull rake and libertine - but struck an even deadlier blow! during a visit to his country estate, the cad tried to have his way with her...until she hit him over the hed, and fled into the night. Found disheveled and unconscious by the reclusive Earl of Grey, she was unrecognizable as the beautiful woman who had every man in London at her feet.
Until she could devise a plan, Lady Sarah swooned into Lord Grey's arms and pretended to have lost her memory. She thought it should be easy to wrap a country gentleman around her finger without telling him her name. Unfortunately, the handsome lord thought her an absolute ninny. She was upsetting his servants, trying to teach him manners, and turning his household topsy turvy. There were a terrible match..and an irrestible combination.......
