interesting concept, lame ending

I LOVED this book! I love a good apocolypse novel....end of human civilization, renewal, rebirth, yadda yadda. But this one broke the mold! Fascinating ideas and one of the most sad but hopeful endings I've ever read. This book renewed my faith in the potential redemption of the human species. And finally an author who doesn't write at a sixth grade vocabulary level. I actually had to reach for my dictionary a few times....how refreshing!
