Upon the recommendation of a dear friend, I read this magnificent book! The characters and setting are written in such a way that captures your heart, and never lets it go! The story is unique, and I have never read another that is quite like it. I could see everything so clearly in my mind's eye, due to the fact that Laura Frantz is an exceptional writer, with an amazing talent for creating a scene and making you FEEL the emotion of the characters.

Though this is not a time period that I was very familiar with, Laura gives just the right amount of historical information, and she blends it perfectly with the story. I was so captivated by Morrow's story, and so drawn in to the romance. The passionate moments were so well done that they took my breath away! I could feel the love and longing that Morrow felt for her forbidden love, and it kept me turning pages long into the night.

Courting Morrow Little is so well written, and I highly recommend to all! This love story is one not to be missed!

Okay, I may need a second for my heart to once again resume it's regular rhythm... Whew!

Rarely do I have the pleasure of reading a love story as beautiful as this one. Laura Frantz has a skill with words that very few authors can replicate. Her ability to make me feel as though I'm in the midst of a cold, dark forest, or at the edge of a trickling lake is a wondrous feeling to experience as a reader. And if that isn't enough, she can pull my emotions along for the wild roller coaster of a new relationship between a husband and wife.

I truly believe that the Christian fiction genre is blessed to have Laura as part of its wide repertoire of talented authors and superb novels. If you're a fan of historical fiction set during the early beginnings of our country that's paired with authentic, three-dimensional characters, Laura Frantz is the author for you. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. :o)

Great book. Morrow Little, whose mother and baby sister were killed by Shawnee Indians and her brother kidnapped, must learn forgiveness before she can find love - love which she finds in a very unlikely place.

This is a tough review for me to write. Though I was excited to read this book when I first saw it was gonna be released, I was also wary of requesting it to review. Reading about the battles/massacres the Indians had to fight/endure are very hard for me; I don't enjoy how it makes me feel. It really upsets me to read how horribly they were mistreated by my very own countrymen, and it breaks my heart to see what they were forced to go through, especially the women and children. That being said, I did enjoy this book, to a certain extent.

Getting to know Morrow, her Dad, Surrounded, and Red Shirt, and seeing the events take place through their eyes, made everything so real. The story moves right along and had me on the edge of my seat quite a bit. I was in tears on more than one occasion, and even found myself laughing at some of Morrow's antics a couple of times. For the most part, I felt heartsick over what everyone was forced to endure.

There were a few people I abhorred with all my heart and would have gladly killed with my own two hands had I been given the chance. They were just simply disgusting, and didn't deserve to live, even though I know it's wrong to kill another person. However, in circumstances such as these, I think it's completely justified. On the other hand, I fell in love with Morrow, her Dad, Libby, Abe, and Red Shirt, along with a few others. Their journey touched my heart on so many levels that I can't begin to explain it all.

One thing I LOVED about this book, was the fact that Morrow actually got to marry her true love well before the end of the story. It annoys me to no end that most couples get together on the very last page of the book, never to be heard from again. UGH! I was ecstatic to be able to read about their married life, and how they were planning for the future. It was a very nice change from the normal romance "pattern".

Even though I had a hard time with parts of this book, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to give it a try. I don't think you'll be sorry you took the time to read it -- I know I'm not. If you'd like to find out more about Laura Frantz and/or her books, be sure to drop by her blog and see what she's been up to.

***A sincere "thank you" to Revell Publishing for allowing me to read/review this book.***

Courting Morrow Little is so good I can't put it down. I look forward to sitting down at the end of every busy day to enjoy reading this book and get so absorbed in it I don't stop until after midnight. It's THE best book I've read in awhile. Instead of falling asleep reading each night I'm forcing myself to go to bed because morning comes awful early.
Signed: Short on sleep.

Morrow Little, the name just captures your attention to get you to pick up this excellent book by Laura Frantz. I enjoyed following Morrow and her growth as a woman and her spiritual journey. The disappointments, fears, and joys while different that our world today, offer a common theme of forgiveness, trusting, and spiritual growth that we all encounter as we journey through life. Very enjoyable and loved the ending!!
