This series has had ups and downs for me. I really looked forward to Gemma's story. This one was a down for me. I spent a good portion of the book rolling my eyes.
The following is a scene that irked me- Gemma's driving; Trace is riding shotgun.
Gemma: "So you don't like to side in that seat?"
Trace: "Not when there's a lady in the vehicle."
Gemma: "Why? Do you have to be in control?"
Trace: "When I'm in the vehicle with a woman, I should drive. It's respect, not control."
Huh? Really? Rolled my eyes.
I really liked Gemma as a cowgirl and without being spoilery, I expected more.
