The Cradle Robbers - Mommy Track, #6 Author:Ayelet Waldman The new Mommy Track Mystery from the national bestselling author of Murder Plays House.
Ayelet Waldman's one-of-kind sleuth tracks the mysterious whereabouts of a missing infant to a widespread, top-secret puzzle that's nothing to play with.
Another mystery in the Juliet Applebaum series, this one was just as good as the others have been! I really like this character, juggling motherhood and detective work.
Cara reviewed The Cradle Robbers (Mommy Track, #6) on
This is not the strongest book in the series. It seemed like there was less plot and more review of the main character. It's a quick read, but not a great read, though I really like the previous books.
This was my favorite book of this series. The characters have matured and have more interest and the plot was great. It seemed more natural that some of the others, though they are all good.
Ayelet Waldman is in top form with "The Cradle Robbers," her 6th in the "Mommy-Track" mystery series.
Los Angeles-based Juliet Applebaum is the harried mother of three young children, including a four-month-old baby girl whom she nurses day and night. In another life, Juliet was a graduate of Harvard Law School and a federal public defender who routinely crushed lying witnesses with her aggressive cross-examination. Now, she is a rumpled and exhausted mother who can barely keep her eyes open. Juliet is filled with self-loathing, not just because she is a terrible housekeeper, but also because she neglects Peter, her long-suffering screenwriter husband. To make matters worse, Juliet's job as a part-time investigator is far from lucrative. Business is bad and promises to get no better anytime soon.
Juliet is on the loose again...how this mom of three finds time to track down the bad guys is a real mystery to me!As usual Ms. Waldman writes a good book.
