I love a good haunted house tale, and while it's not very frightening, it's well worth the read for its eerie setting, strange happenings, and tragic history. And such a clever and suspenseful plot, too; I was sorry to see it end. I would, however, think twice before accepting a mysterious job offer at an abandoned estate.
