Every year to this point in my adult life, I write down 3 New Year's Resolutions: lose 20 pounds, learn to speak Spanish, and write a romance novel. Honestly, next year I may only write down 2 resolutions, because Tara Janzen beat me to #3.

First of all, props to Janzen, because if you go to her website, she's got cars AND guns on display on two of her pages, so she's not just hitting the microfiche alone to research this, the first book in her first series of books. I'm not a gun person in real life, but she gets an A+ in the accuracy department.

If you're the type of person who doesn't want to suspend disbelief in the "love-at-first-sight" department, this may not be the book for you. The book's events take place over 5 days, so in hindsight, even I'm doubting how long a relationship can last after the suspense and action. It's my realist side choking the life out of my hopeless romantic side.

That said, let me say that I read this book in a car, with a flashlight for a reading lamp, desperate for any reading light to continue to know what would happen at the end of the book. Oh, and the love scenes are hot... as in, melt-my-rosary-beads hot. The only couple who gets the luxury of a bed for their love scene are the secondary characters. Again, not for the faint of heart, but I ate it up.

I'm thinking about creating a countdown timer for when I receive "Crazy Cool" in the mail.

Oh this is the kind of series that you talk with your friends about, saying "you HAVE to read this series, no really the stories are great and there are these super hot cars like a red mustang called Charlotte the Harlot and Jeanette the Jet and these super super hot guys with nicknames like Captain America and Superman... you REALLY have to read these books". Tara is an author that writes about men who really like women, and who fall in love for great reasons. The books are fun, fast and super steamy, and after Quinn you get Christian in Crazy Cool!!

I really enjoyed this book. If you liked the movie "The Fast and the Furious" with all the cool (or should I say hot) cars, you'll love this book. This book kept moving right along, with a lot of suspense and attraction between the hero and heroine. This is the start of the series.

I've been looking for a series of those oh-so-hard-to-find books that you literally can't put down -- the ones you sneak into work to read when no one's looking, and have to carry with you everywhere until you finish it. I FOUND MY SERIES, and it starts with THIS BOOK! The complex background of the characters leaves you wanting, but not lacking in the slightest. The relationships are sweet, believable, and very hot. I love it!

I loved this book! What a great read. If you like Suzanne Brockmann's SEAL books, I think you'll love this one. Or, if you like this one, you should try Brockmann! Janzen is now a "must buy" for me! I was *really* tempted to hang on to this book, but I thought I'd share the fun.

This is a great series that holds your interest. I love the way each book builds on the characters you met in the book before.

If possible read the books in the order they were written. Each book stands on its own. But once you've read one your going to want to read the rest and it spoils things if you already know what's going to happen.

Members of the Special Defense Force, a secret black ops organization, include Quinn Younger, Dylan Hart, Christian Hawkins, J.T. Chonopolous, Creed Rivera, Kid Chaos and a few others. They were all juvenile delinquents who got a lenient judge who sentenced them to summer duty interning for Wilson McKinney, the dinosaur bones guy in Denver. Now they are all productive members of society though society still views them as criminals... they are undercover after all. This is Quinn and Regan's story. Regan is Wilson's granddaughter who spent the summer with these delinquents.

Semi-senile Wilson goes missing and Regan sets out to find Quinn in hopes of locating her grandfather. Unbeknownst to her, Wilson is helping SDF in an undercover operation and she unwittingly draws the Roper gang right to Quinn who is still recovering from his most recent clash with Roper himself. Now it's a fight to the finish to see who is going to come out on top - the good guys or the bad, with the added complication of keeping Regan alive and keeping his head in the very dangerous game and not on Regan's anatomy.

The secondary romance between Kid Chaos and Regan's little sister, Nikki was a real attention grabber and almost stole the heat right out from under Quinn and Regan. I absolutely loved Kid's reaction to Nikki's art. Priceless!

This is the first book I have read by Tara Janzen and I LOVED it. Sexy men, Fast cars and Hot Sex it has it all. The action was fast paced and it is just long enough to give you time to really get attached to the characters. I have the rest of this series and cant wait to start the next book.

The action is fast and furious, there's a stripped-down juiced-up story in addition to a respectable plot, the characters have histories, and there's a lot of yummy tumbling going on. The author's deep affection for her characters is evident, and her enthusiasm is contagious.

Funny and sexy.

Fast cars and faster men.

Regan and Quinn's storyline couldn't get any hotter. I don't know if the scenes could get any steamier. And the part when Hawkins comes in and is downstairs while those two are upstairs going at it was pretty funny.

The part with Kid and Nikki in his car was pretty hilarious. She is babbling on about Travis' feminine mystique and Kid is trying not to let her know he is annoyed. I was cracking up.

Definitely hold on women, Tara's going to take you on wild car ride.

Love has never been this wild, this dangerous, this hot. Only the most dire emergency could send paleontologist Regan McKinney racing across the west in search of a man. But her grandfather has vanished, and Quinn Younger could be the missing link. What the bad-boy-turned-American-hero is doing in a deserted tumbleweed town is an even bigger mystery...until danger trails Regan into Cisco, Utah, and the sexy ex-air force pilot becomes her sole hope of survival...
Quinn figures things can't get worse than being stuck in tiny Cisco on an impossible special-ops mission. Then the dinosaur doc's granddaughter roars into town with bad guys on her tail. Once, Quinn was on the fast track to a life of crime...until Regan's grandfather rescued him. Now Quinn owes it to them both to find the old guy. But throw in a deadly terrorist and some hot dinosaur bones, and a man could get himself killed. Because facing down danger with this revved-up lady is one endless addrenaline-rush of pleasure--especially when they're falling crazy in love...and hanging on for dear life...

Regan McKinney, a studious paleontologist, isn't exactly accustomed to a life of high crime. But when a mysterious note from her missing grandfather leads her to a secret surveillance site maintained by a notorious special-ops task force, and headed by a smoldering ex-fighter pilot, even Regan can't resist the chase.
