On the whole, I really enjoy Jennifer Crusie, however, I found this book disturbing. I find the subject of being stalked by an ex-lover incompatible with what is otherwise a light romantic romp.

This is not a cozy mystery and it is not a conventional romance, so I guess I would call it chick-lit...the sex didn't make me uncomfortable but there are a couple of creepy characters who do. This was okay for a lazy Saturday read, but definitely not a keeper. If I read anything else by this author, I will pick it up from the library.

Jennifer Cruisie always makes me smile. She has mastered her craft and truns out a tight, fast paced story. Her characters are full of life and energy, if somewhat goofy in a dull way at first. Until I fall in love with them,that is.

A little predictable, but a lot of fun to read. Crusie always spins a tale that will bring a smile to your face.
A crazy mixed up Romance story to make you laugh, an ex-boyfriend to build the tension, and a cute little dog, named Katie, for the dog lover's. Unfortunately, Katie is almost forgotten in the 2nd half of the book, but she does re-enter the story for the grand finale.

High school art teacher Quinn McKenzie is bored with her life. She realizes she needs to change when she adopts a stray dog and her boyfriend objects. Instead of getting rid of the dog, she breaks up with her dull boyfriend, buys her own place, and decides initiate a romance with her best friend, Nick, who also happens to be her former brother-in-law. Suddenly Quinn's boring life is out of control. Her dog is kidnapped, her former boyfriend refuses to believe their relationship is over, her mother comes out of the closet and kicks her father out of the house, someone is breaking into Quinn's house to sabotage it, and Nick refuses to sleep with her.
This is another funny romance from Jennifer Crusie. Not only do we get Quinn & Nick's romance, but there is a secondary story about Nick's brother, Max, and his wife Darla. And Quinn's ex-boyfriend, Bill, goes from boring to strange to scary in the course of the story. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

After reading two of her books, I've decided that I like this author. Her books (based on the 2 I've read) have a simple formula: 2 people meant to be together either resist and/or are kept from being together, add sexual tension, add a few other interesting characters and move the plot from two people alone to two people in bed:-) I enjoyed this book, but as with the other one that I read, thought it was about 2 chapters too long. That said...here I am on vacation, and wishing I had another book by this author with me. Her writing did make me smile and I loved the easy, fun read.

Sometimes a girl's gotta do what she's gotta do, even if it's not the most popular thing. Crazy for you started slow, I wassn't swept into the story like some of Crusie's others. But as the story progressed it became more interesting. Light, funny, with a hint of suspense, overall it was a quick and fun read.

I love this authors work and this is another great romance with great characters. A very steamy read!
As usual, Jennifer Cruise wrote a great book. This book had a psychotic ex-boyfriend who was a surprise. At the beginning he just seemd like a dud. But, the more I read, the crazier I realized he was. The rest of the characters had their own quirks, which enhances the story. I started this one about 9:00 am and was done by 5:30 PM, and that included many breaks in my reading. I just couldn't put it down.
This book has humor, sex, romance, small town life, action, violence-you name it!
This is one of my favorite books ever. There's just something about the characters that pull you in. It goes to show that just because something looks perfect from the outside doesn't mean it's not rotten in the middle. Love the sexual tension between the main characters and their best friend relationship. It's a good book and definitely worth the credit.
