Anyone who loves animals will love the James Herriot books. They are written through the eyes of a country vet and sometimes he'll have you laughing out loud and other times, you are reaching for a kleenex.

I love Herriot's novels. They are funny, warm, and totally entertaining.

The classic, based on a true story.
This book is amazing. I work for a vet, and I thought it would not hold my attention for very long. I was wrong, he tells his stories as if you were sitting next to a cozy fire with him laughing together. Captivating!
