I wasn't sure I would like the book ... it was different. I wound up loving the book and the recipes. I will look for more of her books. Her recipes are very good.

Very good story and lots of delicious recipes. However I got a little tired of the rudeness of the main character.

Part of the Pennsylvania Dutch series. Good summertime reading. Mindless mystery.

I really enjoy this Myers food series. Lizzie was the world's worst cook and when someone kills her with a batch of crepes it seems like a very bad joke. Magdalena Yoder, the series sleuth, finds the answers pointing right back to her PennDutch Inn.

While I really enjoy this series, this book seemed to drag for me. I enjoy the humor and recipes in each book, but the storyline in this one moved a bit too slow. The strange relationship between Mags & Melvin is extremely entertaining, as is the friendship between Mags & Freni.

Another Magdalena Yoder book with Magdalena solving a muder of a poisoning.

I like this series of books. They are funny and the Amish, Menonite aspect of the series is interesting. Alhough the story is not a super thriller packed with action it is a easy fun mystery to read.

I enjoy this Cozy Mystery series in small bits. While I find a series set in Amish Country inherently interesting, stylistically I find the main character grates after a while. Her whines and rants don't change much from book to book. The mystery aspect is always solid, though.
