Far below the great forest canopy lies a shadowy world that many insects call home. Among the damp clutter of fallen leaves and branches, leaf-cutting ants toil all day while cockroaches await their evening search for food.

One cockroach had looked like all others-until a close call with a hungry toad. In his wild excape from the toad's sticky tongue, he had twisted on of his fine long wings. Since then everyone called him Crickwing.
