First in delightful series - Episcopal priest Kathryn Koerney and Police Chief Tom Holder begin relationship with shy friendship and soon are caught up in murder. Intelligent and witty.
Within 2 minutes of finishing this book, I was at the computer ordering the other 2 in this series. A little hard to describe--I don't think the descriptions I read did it justice. The front cover says it will appeal to fans of J. Karon's Mitford tales. Well, the characters are interesting and memorable, as the ones in Ms Karon's FIRST Mitford book was. But, the reader encounters none of the preachiness with which you're overwhelmed by subsequent Karon volumes. Let's just say it's a good read: interesting characters, twisty plot. I'm mighty glad I found it. Made a few days much more enjoyable.
If you want suspense, this book is it. It entertained, but was not a page turner as some other mystery books are, but it got your curiousity, especially when the little kid witness was in the starring, that made it interesting to find out what the kid actually saw.
I really enjoyed this book because it was a love story and mystrey that hinted at simple love and not a graphic display. The combination was just perfect.
Great story....great book....highly recommend
