I really didn't like this book. The author got bogged down with a lot legal technical stuff and abbreviations and acronyms. Lots of action, Come on now. The author holds a doctorate degree in chiropractic medicine and he is writing a legal thriller. I wonder just how accurate the legalese is in this book. Also, I did not like the two main characters. That is not what you do on a vacation in the California wine country. Not to be believed.
I would have given this book five stars, except for the ending. Great story, great characters. This book is full of action as Karen Vail goes on vacation with her SO, Robby. At one of their wine tasing adventures a dead body is found. Karen's FBI profiling entity kicks in and she is entangled in the mystery.
The end leaves the reader hanging and wanting to read Jacobson's next Karen Vail mystery to find out what happened to a key player.
