It's funny but I can recall the day I read this book and how devastated I felt when I finished it in the wee hours of the morning. I'm a huge fan of Linda Howard's books, but this one just shattered me. I think it's the best book she's ever written and the ending is incredible moving.

This romantic suspenseful novel is about a mother who will stop at nothing to find her kidnapped child, and other missing children. It deals with terrible losses, grief and healing. A fast-paced tale with a sexy hero, a driven heroine and a very satisfying epilogue!

I had a good time with this one - it was just what I was in the mood for over the weekend. It's definitely not the same old romance plot with the same old characters! And it's not just the main characters -- even the ex-husband is a nice guy for once! It might have made things a little more exciting if we hadn't gotten to see inside everyone's heads, but I can see arguments for both sides on that one. I can't help but wonder if the publisher didn't want to keep the read on the easier side and pushed for things to be a little more explained along the way....

Anyway, fun book, good story -- recommended for the romantic suspense crowd! I've always liked Linda Howard. She may be a little mainstream, but she got there 'cos she writes fun stuff!

I really enjoyed this book. A woman whose child was stolen when he was an infant has devoted her life to finding other missing children, developing a network of volunteers who try to keep other parents from enduring what she's had to face. She's followed lead after lead, looking for her own child, and as the book opens she's once more had a tip that could lead her to the child she's never forgotten.

A very good book! The story takes place in Mexico, and once again, Linda Howard proves that she can sound like she knows what she's talking about! Gritty, and real, in the choice of the place of the story. Her main characters are likeable and mysterious and dangerous, not necessarily in that order! A story about a woman whose baby is stolen from her and her life's goal becomes to not only find her child, but find other lost children. The seductive, scary character, Diaz, who ends up helping her promises to make your skin shiver with goosebumps from fear and delight! All in all, I give it 3.5 stars out of 5. Still, if you havent read Linda Howards "Kiss Me While I Sleep", you havent read her best work. Try it out!!!

There is a good summary of the plot already on the site so I won't recap. I just want to say that I've read most of Linda Howards novels, and Cry No More is, without a doubt, her best single title novel. I've read this one maybe 5 or 6 times since I first read it years ago.

Milla Edge finds lost children - a job she undertook after her own baby was snatched from her arms. The key is an elusive one eyed man. What part does the invisible lethal assassin play? As with all Linda Howard mysteries, this one is hard to put down.

Milla Edge lives in Mexico, where her doctor husband, David, is posted.
She has just given birth to her first child and is basking in a maternal glow when baby Justin is stolen literally out of her arms, with chilling efficiency.
A decade later, Milla is divorced from David and has become the devoted head of an organization called Finders. Hunting down the cabals that carry out these crimes, she combs North America for kidnapped babies, including her own.
Her sometimes reckless exploits put her in harm's way and also land her in the path of two very different powerful men.
Wealthy businessman True Gallagher contributes generously to Finders and pursues Milla with every donation.
The dangerous and elusive Diaz, a mercenary-or is he a government agent?-provides Milla with the name of Justin's kidnapper, and offers to accompany her on the dangerous journey to his headquarters. Both men have secret personal agendas.

I would say this one, hands down, is my favorite of all Linda Howard's. The hero is intriguing, and the main character, with all her flaws, attributes and motivation, is just riveting. It is a very touching, suspenseful and, at times, very painful story. The ending will blow you away. I couldn't get through this one fast enough, and then was sad when it was over.

This is one of Linda Howard's more serious stories. Howard's characters are well-developed and take many emotional turns through out the story. Milla, the main character, searches for lost and abducted children. Her search takes her to Mexico where she uncovers more than she bargained for. This story is more suspense than romantic suspense.

This is one of the most emotionally riveting books I've ever read. The lead male character, Diaz, is absolutely fascinating. The culmination of the story is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time. To me, this is Linda Howard's most powerful story ever.

Thriller about a woman who spends 10 years searching for the infant snatched from her arms in a Mexican market. Interesting story about obsession, but Howard loses points for a wildly unlikely hero/avenger/hunk.
