When an ice storm strands Dr. Sable Chamberlin and paramedic Paul Murphy in the southern Missouri hills, they assume they're safe from the mysterious killer responsible for murdering Sable's grandfather and Paul's uncle. But while searching Sable's childhood home and connecting caves for clues, it becomes clear that real danger has followed them. Soon, Sable and Murph, fighting for their lives, discover secrets worth killing for. . .and unexpected treasure more costly than gold. Combining the rich setting of the Ozark hills with compelling and diverse characters, Hannah Alexander has crafted a fast-moving novel sure to keep readers asking the question--"whodunit?"
In Agatha Christie tradition, the story finds Sable and Paul trapped in a house with a suspicious group of strangers, many with their own set of secrets. Someone is sabotaging Sable and Paul's efforts to get to the bottom of the mystery, bringing them to the brink of disaster. Will they escape this villain's clutches, before it is too late?
I found The Crystal Cavern to be an enjoyable read, with characters that stayed with me long after the story ended. Hannah Alexander knows how to weave an intriguing tale. You won't be disappointed.

Fast pace story, quick read, good story line. There are a couple of scenes that read as unrealistic, but all-in-all a good mystery.

This is a new author to me and I think she shows a lot of promise. This book set the the Ozark mountains mixes mystery and romance masterfully.
A young woman becomes snowbound in her grandfather's house, complete with underground caverns, with a bus load of strangers, one of whom is a murderer
An echo of splashing water reverbrated against black cave walls, punctuated by a glittering swirl of light against overchanging stalactites.the glow from Sable's lantern did little more than shape columns and stalagmites into lurking monsters.the shadows of formations danced, but when she stood still one pool of darkness continued to move. She gasped, stepping backward. Her heel caught on a ledge as a staligmite burst from the earth with such shocking violence that a scream escaped from her throat, but it was instantly absorbed by the heavy.white mist that surrounded her.The formations took the shape of a man....fleeing for their lives,Sable Chamberlin and Paul Murphy are hoorified to discover themselves trapped, along with a suspicious cast of strangers,by an Ozark ice storm. Will Sables family home-the formidible cavern beneath-provide a safe haven and the answers she seekd...or will they become a deadly snare?
Very good mystery by Christian author.

Interesting mystery. Kept you guessing until the end.
I thought The Crystal Cavern was a terrific book! The characters have stayed with me after I finished the book. I don't think you'll be disappointed with the mystery, a touch of thriller and a bit of romance.

Great fast paced mystery! I didn't want to put it down.
Slow start but a good book overall..
A suspenseful adventure to the end, this is a good read. I felt the stay at the farmhouse was a bit overdone at the end, but all in all a fun and wholesome read.

Nice page turner. Somewhat spooky. Kind of reminds me of the TV show lost somewhat. This book was in our Church library. I have limited space. This book was removed to make room for "iver Dance" and "Silent Pledge" by the same author.I am using "glue off" to remove the label on the spine of the book for the library.
