Overall this book was pretty good. I personally like the Carolyn Banks series better. Something with the ending didn't sit right with me but I can't put my finger on it... She did a good job of describing the event of cutting so the non-horse person or even horse people not in the sport would understand. There were plenty of suspicious people to wonder about but the actual villians didn't surprise me.

Very good story, will read the next one and watch for the characters to develop. Loved the good horse information and the vet aspect of the story. Hope all continues.

I liked this book. It was good quick read. Though she seems somewhat of a busy body.

Gail McCarthy is an independent person that is a veterinarian in California. Her clients all seem to be people with expensive cutting horses. One of the trainers she is friends with ends up dead. Gail has her suspicions regarding the death and takes the investigation into her own hands. This was a good story.
